Step by step procedure:
- Log into Texas BARD Site
- Search for magazine or book titles using search features
- Once item is selected, click the download option
- The download may take several minutes or longer depending upon size of file and connection speed.
- The download file is in a zipped (compressed) format. It must be unzipped before it can be placed on the storage media. (Thumb drive or DTB cartridge.) - Right click on the file name or icon and then select uncompress. The file will be uncompressed into a folder.
- Copy the folder containing all of the newly uncompressed files onto the thumb drive or the DTB cartridge.
- The downloaded book or magazine can now be played on your Digital Talking Book machine or authorized digital player such as the Humanware Victor Sream.
